Reality Gaming Simulations - PRESS RELEASE.
This forum will be used to discuss and develop our 7th deployment. All members have access to this forum, which will be made public closer to the operation time. Mars and other deployment organisers will post updates here for you to respond to and show support, if you wish to be part of the deployment team contact Mars directly.
Following internal meetings and the development of the new staff groups- I am now commissioning 4 operations for use by the RG Task Force to conduct our 7th official deployment.
Team and Development:

Media Content: Andrews / Elementz / Stabcon
Deployment date is set for the 17th April 2016. Deployment will last 4 week (operations) from this date ending Sunday 8th May 2016.
We will then return from deployment via camp RG. Deployment 8 is roughly projected in the fall 2016.
Deployment Schedule:
Mission will take place 6PM Sunday. Missions will made by our staff mission builders who will be responsible for adding their objectives and completing them as per the deployment teams direction.
Future deployments and missions will scale with our Task Force strength.
Story and Media:
Mars will produce the overall story and background. Role playing slots and other elements will be posted shortly. Reporters, photographers and other external RG media will be invited. 
Deployment Mission Settings:
Deaths and loses of equipment will be logged, death limits will be imposed, equipment, ammunition and re-enforcements will be limited.
This will be tracked via alive and other methods.
These four missions are essentially what we have been preparing the task force for. We are creating something unique within the community. I look forward to learning from this deployment and working with you all on the future of Reality Gaming.

Prague, Czech Republic, Thursday January 14th 2016



Entering its third year since official release, Bohemia Interactive today revealed some of their plans for Arma 3 in 2016. Via a new video blog, Creative Director Jay Crowe provides an overview of the ten most significant highlights of 2015, and a list of the ten most important things to look forward to in the upcoming year. Among the most anticipated items will be the release of the Arma 3 Apex expansion, which will bring players to the 100 km² South Pacific island archipelago of Tanoa. The Apex expansion will be supported by new vehicles and weapons, a co-op campaign - and a free platform update that will improve Arma 3's graphics, audio, usability, and more.


In terms of updates, the year will be kicked of by the release of the free Arma 3 Eden Update in February. This update will introduce the Eden 3D Editor – a brand scenario editor which will enable users to place and edit objects, define waypoints, set mission objectives, and more, directly within the 3D game environment. This represents a massive leap forward from the classic scenario editor, which has been a staple of the Arma series since its conception. Another welcome addition will be the new Launcher-based Server Browser, which will make it much easier for players to search and join a multiplayer server of their liking. Another highlight of the Eden Update will be the audio improvements, which come in the form of new audio configurations and samples. The update will be further complemented by a variety of usability improvements. Among the changes will be the replacement of the in-game font, which should make in-game text better legible.

Next up in line is 2016's Apex. Similar to previous Arma 3 DLC, the Arma 3 Apex expansion will deliver new premium content, and a free platform update available to everyone who owns Arma 3. In terms of premium content, Arma 3 Apex' crown jewel is Tanoa – the new terrain which was first revealed at E3 last year. In addition, the expansion will include new vehicles and weapons, and a co-op campaign. While more specific details will be unveiled at a later date, new vehicle classes, namely Light Strike Vehicles and VTOL aircraft, have been confirmed to be among the Apex arsenal. To make the new content shine, the free platform update will provide a graphics upgrade that will apply to the entire game. The upgrade includes an overhaul of the game lighting configuration, and introduction of new Sea Shader and Screen-space Reflections technology.


Bohemia Interactive also plans to build upon their new (web-based) service, Arma 3 Units. Launched in basic form at the end of last year, Arma 3 Units aims to connect players and Arma community groups. In the near future, Bohemia Interactive will increase the functionality by enabling users to join units with their Bohemia Account, manage unit roles, schedule events, post announcements, and more. Further down the line, the studio intends to integrate parts of the service into the game itself.

Ladies and Gentlemen, 
honoured participants and supporters,


On the verge of the new year I would like to leave you all with some closure and acknowledge those who have represented RG at the highest level in 2015. 


This year we have cemented ourselves as a premium international tactical simulations community. Our members have a stable platform to enjoy the games they love, while meeting twice a week to conduct the most organised fun milsim experience available. Our site and it's community features have been used to the fullest, with our members building a precious library of video and photographic content.




With the inclusion of ACE and the Mod Pack, we are now at the level of content we had while using ARMA 2 as our main platform. This has been displayed in the variety of missions and scenarios we have created, with our operations spanning the globe.


Big thanks to the staff and Dev's for providing an amazing show every week, to the officers and nco's for organising our community and looking after their crews, to our supporters for providing games and funding to keep our community alive, to the dedicated members who turn up every week to be part of the Task Force, and finally to our talented members who provide images and videos for us to enjoy and learn from.


As a special mention, we were all very proud of the RG End Game team, who put in time and hard work to represent RG on the world stage.

To mark this event and their dedication, they have been awarded the unique ribbon below. As the first generation of RG tournament participants, you represented the community in style.

ISSUING STATION: U.S. Military Assistance Command, Vietnam (MACV)
COMMANDING OFFICER: Assigned Combat Leader


In 1963 and 1964, a series of political and military mishaps had seriously affected the capabilities of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) main forces in South Vietnam. ARVN commanders were initially under the direct orders from President Ngo Dinh Diem to avoid pitched combat at all costs, which allowed the NLF (VC) forces (known as the Viet Cong or VC) to train and grow without significant opposition, despite losing several leaders to CIA search and destroy squads, which relied heavily on rocket attacks using helicopters. After Diem's overthrow in a 1963 coup, the new military leadership largely consisted of commanders put in place by Diem prior to the coup. They showed equal lack of interest in fighting the NLF, spending their time in a series of coups and counter-coups. In this unstable political climate, the NLF (VC) units were able to mount increasingly larger military operations. At first these were limited to building up larger formations (battalions and regiments), but by late 1964 they had evolved into an all-out war against ARVN units, which they outperformed in every way.

RG Taskforce Task Role Playing (7th Cav Air Assault):

On October 19, the PAVN attacked the Pleime camp with the 320th and 32nd regiments and on October 26, with the Pleime camp liberated, ARVN II Corps Command requested that "7tht Cav TAOR be extended to include the Plei Me area except the camp itself". and be assigned the Long Reach operation. This operation was carried out in three parts: All the Way , Silver Bayonet I and Silver Bayonet II. We are tasked with conducting this operations.

Enemy Forces:


Guerilla and resistance fighters, organised indigenous army. Overall, the supplies and equipment of communist units were adequate, and their infantry small-arms were a match for those of their opponents. Contrary to some popular impressions of simple peasant farmers armed with pitchfork and machetes, the VC/NVA main units (as well as the local forces in the latter years) were well equipped with modern arms either from Soviet bloc or Chinese sources. In the early years of the insurgency in the South a larger variety of weapons were used, ranging from World War I-era bolt-action rifles to World War II-era weapons, with procurement via a wide range of methods. Such variation and diversity continued throughout the conflict. By 1970 however, the communist inventory was increasingly standardized, even at the village guerrilla level.

Villages and Built up areas are a no go for AGENT ORANGE or NAPALM. Outskirts only.


All Aircraft / Artillery support must be on call.
AttackAircraft are not to engage the enemy on their own accord;
Enemy air assets and enemy Tigris are the only exceptions to this rule. they are allowed to be engaged to make way for safe transport to the 
AO for Friendly Troops;
All other targets, how ever cannot be engaged unless called in;
The attack aircraft are to maintain a safe holding area, pattern, or stay on base until called in to preserve the longevity of these craft;
Artillery, including Mortars, must remain silent until called to fire;
Caveat being that the aircraft is in immediate danger and needs to act against that danger;
Please note that Tigris on ACV referes to any static/none static AA vehicles. Also note "Caveat being that the aircraft is in immediate danger and needs to act against that danger".


Highroller will be in direct control of the RG Task Force operation.

At Reality Gaming we are celebrating another great year having completed over 250 action packed events. As we enter our 9th year of milsim excellence, I would like to thank everyone that has put their differences to one side and over came adversity to help make RG a respected recognised community with one of the best international online Task Forces in the world.

Our official events will cease on Sunday 13th Dec 2015 with a special all day casual Vietnam event, this will be our final official event of 2015. The servers and Team Speak will be operational and we invite you all to join us as we see in the new year with and beer and a song. Operations will resume Sunday 3rd Jan 2016, where we will be training and planning our goals while putting Deployment 7 (D7) into focus.

Two major platform updates plus 'Arma 3 Apex' expansion



With over two million copies sold to date, Bohemia Interactive today presented its plans for their tactical military shooter Arma 3 in the next year. The 2015-2016 roadmap, which was shared via a blog post written by the game's Creative Director Jay Crowe, features two free platform updates that pave the way for the Arma 3 expansion in the second quarter of 2016. 

First up will be the 'Nexus Update', which is scheduled for release in November this year, and focuses upon the refinement of core features and multiplayer systems. This includes significant improvements to Arma 3 gameplay features such as stamina/fatigue, personal protective equipment, and more. Furthermore, the Nexus Update will deliver a revamped version of the End Game multiplayer mode, that was introduced earlier this year. The renewed End Game multiplayer will be paired with various improvements to general multiplayer systems, which can also be used in other official and unofficial Arma 3 multiplayer scenarios. Last but not least, alongside the Nexus Update, Bohemia Interactive plans to deploy a foundation build of 'Arma 3 Units' – a web-based service that aims to connect players with community groups.

The second platform update for Arma 3, codenamed 'Eden Update', is penciled in for the beginning of next year (2016). The highlight of this update will be the official introduction of the brand new Eden 3D Editor. Designed as the logical evolution of the classic 2D Scenario Editor, which has been a core component of the Arma series since its debut in 2001, the new Eden Editor will give players far more control over their creations than ever before by enabling them to place and edit entities directly within the 3D game environment. Besides the new editor, the Eden Update will be complemented by several Arma 3 usability tweaks, and an overhaul of how players discover and join multiplayer sessions.

The Nexus and Eden platform updates lead up to the roadmap's focal point: a major Arma 3 expansion in Q2 2016. Titled 'Arma 3 Apex', this expansion will feature the 100 km2 South Pacific destination of Tanoa, which was first shown during the PC Gaming Show at E3 this year, plus a co-op campaign, new vehicles, weapons, and characters. One of the central themes of the expansion is near-future combat, which players will be able to recognize by the introduction of new vehicle classes such as VTOL aircraft and other new gameplay elements. As with previous Arma 3 DLC, the expansion will be accompanied by a major free platform update that seeks to address important 'legacy' issues related to Arma 3's multiplayer, interaction mechanics, and discoverability of official and custom content. More information about the Arma 3 Apex expansion, including specifics on pricing, purchasing options, and early access availability, will be communicated next year.

#4314 Steam Ticket Failed

Hello everyone,
I am making this post to inform people how to fix certain crashes.
I will be discussing 2 kinds of crashes here and their solutions:
Crash number 1:
When joining the game, your loading bar gets stuck halfway and will stop loading, after a while your ArmA 3 will stop working. 
Go to your windows search bar and type in %AppData%
Now you'll see this in the top left corner:
Click on AppData.
Now click on Local and after you did this search for ArmA 3.
You'll see this:
Delete the MPMissionCache folder completly.
This will clear your Multiplayer Cache and will make you re-download the mission file. Usually this will fix everything.
After you've deleted this folder, start up ArmA 3 again and re-join the server. You will be able to join again.
Crash number 2:
Frequently getting kicked for the error: Steam Ticket check failed: (null)
First, you want to locate your Steam Directory. 
In my case that is:
Now you want to click Common and look for ArmA 3.
After you've done this you will delete PhysX3_x86.dll
After you've done this, go to Steam and rightclick on ArmA 3 and click Properties. Then go to the tab Local Files and click the button that tells you to let steam verify your game for missing files.
Once this is over, you got a brand new .dll file and you are ready to go!
If you experience any trouble and one of the above is not working, try both. If this doesn't work either then please let me know. These 2 methods have saved me many times.
