ISSUING STATION: Taskforce Command
ISSUING OFFICIAL: Lieutenant Colonel Andrews
COMMANDING OFFICER: Cpt.Mars
Our phased retreat out of the area was a success - in the sense that a retreat can be called a success... Moscow won't be happy to hear we left our posts, but they'd be even less happy if we all had died and let the Chinese go past without a fight.
The PLA forces have been pushing onwards and the plan to destroy the bridges worked... for a short amount of time. Infantry units kept on marching and small bridges were erected for the lighter vehicles to cross over. We bought some time against the PLA armored units.
During the engagement we also took some on-point sniper fire. Although the enemy sniper wasn't spotted, it is believed there is one or maybe 2 snipers operating separately from the PLA's vanguard.
TFRG and some other remaining Border Guard units have fallen back towards higher ground to the North and this ground seems ideal to ambush the advancing PLA forces - especially since the main body is still trying to cross the rivers.
Military police and local conscripts have cleared the area of civilians and are doing so in the complete path of the PLA forces.
CURRENT SITUATION AND TASK
The Chinese have come far enough and now it’s our turn to surprise them. On these grounds we'll be able to get the height advantage, and combined with the element of surprise we should be able to do some serious damage. With reinforcements enroute towards us for support, General Bondarenko has ordered us to make this area our Alamo.
Scouting by Vegas has learned that the PLA forces have set up a small FOB, South West of our camp and north of the River. From this refuel/rearm/resupply post, we expect a convoy of vehicles to move along the river towards the North East to advance towards the Oil and gold fields. If we were to be able to divert the convoy towards the North via the valley as indicated on the map, we should be able to hit them hard.
Once dealt with the convoy, the PLA FOB will be vulnerable and TFRG should use this opportunity to cleanse the area op Chinese. On a side note, if we'd be able to capture any PLA soldiers during the fight we'd be able to extract some intel from them we could use.
Comrades, this is where we hold them. This is where we fight. This is where they die.
Enemy forces consist of motorized light infantry, armed with modern/advanced weapons.
On our way to here, we passed a military camp where we were able to stock up on ammo and found 2 MBT's. With what we managed to save from our tactical retreat, we currently have the following available:
1x GAZ 233011
4x Transport truck
1x medical vehicle
1x radio truck
It's likely more vehicles are still scattered around the AO.
As per command
Squad operational intent
Main infantry body to divide their bullets among PLA soldiers
Operation of heavy vehicles
Forward recon and counter attack of possible flanking units
Tasking as command sees fit
Crush the mobilizing enemy force and capture PLA bases in the AO
ROE: Weapons tight
TFRG is cleared to use deadly force on all PLA forces, however, PID all target not to shoot friendly or civilian.
