Wheels are now in motion to layout the framework for the development of Deployment 6.

Official announcement will be made in the next 2 weeks. It would be foolhardy to set a deployment date without a majority vote, this is the first of many polls that will be available leading up to the big day. Please help steer the deployment on the correct path.

consider: Deployments (4 missions, media, strory etc) take around 1 month to develop.

Give as much detail as possible on your choice, uni terms and holidays play a large factor. Deployment dates will not be ideal for all members, but we will aim to get everyone in at least 3 missions for there deployment award. A recruitment drive will take place if required prior to the deployment ceremony in 1 month.

Thanks in advance for your votes.

    * The full proposed D6 timeline and action plan will be posted in the staff section within 2 weeks. Pooling from from our active staff I will be building our Production Team. For those non-staff members that wish to help with the development of D6 there will be plenty of opportunity to be involved. Following Deployment 6 a number of staff promotions will be awarded for active participation within production.

    Hey,
i'm not limited in way of work nor of holiday. I would advise from June onward, though June might be difficult for the uni guys?
I think September - and maybe August as well - is a little to late...

Lots to do and lots of external factors regards the game/mods and peoples personal lives.

Therefore: Planning in July - Deployment in August gets my vote

Feels like advice has been ignored. Voted, though all should beware of rushing into deployments.

Either June or September since most of my exams will be in July and August.

i know i not been around much but just asking do we only have 1 deployment  a year now ,as that the reason what make rg the top dog, was our deployment . We use to do 2 to 3 a year  ,it feels like we are taking a back step by just having  1 deployment  a year.anyway back to the post  anytime is good for me

I know we all want more deployments mate, but this year we're going for quality over quantity.

With how Arma 3 has been rolled out I think it's better to wait and see how ACE3 & Headless client will effect our mission build and develop the core player community, I feel like early August is a little late but if we can get d6 started early July or late June we could fit 2 in 2016. keeping consistent quality.

Pls all remember the vast amounts of back stage work that goes into a full 4 week deployment including (but not limited to)

World situation, back story and full developing storyline written not only for pre-deployment but also 4 individual storylines for each mission.

    Promotional content and on-line advertising

    recruitment drive

    Video media and teasers

Artwork, themes and pictorial content - both teasers and mission specific.

    Medal creation and ribbon artwork.

Dedicated deployment pack and content (maybe - depends on what else happens with mods etc.)

4 interlocking and contiguous persistent missions (these are likely to take at least 2 weeks a piece, ie 2 months to construct.)

organisation of OPORDS and WARNO's in advance

detailed selection, organisation an instructions for any RP elements or other groups

    - tons of organisation of the above as well as lots of stuff in between that just comes up...

All this needs to be completed on top of current RG operations and organision including continuing to run Wednesday training, PvP and the usual Sunday operations. Also this is on top of mod pack development, integration of new and exciting mods, the release of Marksmen content, release of headless client - both of which will need integration and fixes to work with our current set up.

Lets also not forget, RL :)

We all want an excellent D6 - it will come - it's what we are working towards, but it is very unlikely to be the first of two 2015 deployments. 2016 we will just have to wait and see. lots of things happen so best not speculate but the development team already have some outline for what we want to achieve.

Organsiastion has already begun on D6 but we will soon also be looking to the community to help out with several tasks. If you want to help D6 then check your gear and watch this space for details.... :)

Honestly if we know how much work goes on why are we voting. In my opinion the time should be up to the people creating it.

yeah, I go with Zepplin on that..

Wouldn't want it to be rushed because the community demands it. take your time for it, go for it when you guy's think you achieved the quality you want in it...

Only that way we can have an awesome deployment for everybody to enjoy.

once again, anything i can help with, gimme a shout!
